Exoten in Wien -
Eine botanische Reise zurück in die Österreich-Ungarische Monarchie,
T. Amersberger
Abstract: A general account of exotic plants in Vienna, Austria, is given.
The Austrian capital shows different climatic zones, from an oceanic-atlantic
influenced climate in the western parts to a more continental character in
the eastern parts and from cold suburban areas to a relatively mild central
city climate. These different characteristics lead to an interesting
horticultural attribute, not only from an actual account but from a historical
point of view, too. - With 13 figures and 4 tables.
